what up what up

So passed my second christmas here in argentina kinda funny that a year ago i was spending christmas in the city next to mine right now kinda wierd didnt know spanish and hated argentina and now i get by with spanish and im in love with argentina. But christmas was good we ate a but ton of meat and turkey as well which you dont see here normally haha we then had a water gun fight cause it was like 90 in the night time so that was super fun and the family we were with gave us hats from capilla as our christmas gift so they were super cool to do that for us.

Other news this week in church we brought 3 investigators to church and we were stoked until we got to church and there were only 2 members there haha so we only had sacrament cause everyone was on vacation.

So this week for p day we did secret santa with our zone and had an asado so that was dope

What up what up so good week this week first it started off with a conference with a couple zones in the mish and it was super good our president is super smart and its crazy how he can interpret the scriptures i really like listening to him. The presidents wife kinda just showed videos of christmas cause she cant speak spanish haha but it was still super good one thing they shared is that having a testimony is not good enough today people in the church have testimonies and leave still but they said testimony is in our minds its the info we receive but conversion is in our heart and thats where it really matters. both are crucial but one is harder than the other but if we can become truly converted we will have our eyes single to the glory of god

So update on miguel he made it to church today haha so that was sick but church was a little nuts we had a family come visit from seattle and they didnt speak a lick of spanish so i got caught with the job of translating the whole two hours of church which was very good spanish practice but it is exhausting haha. So i had to leave miguel to my comp but he did good and is really progressing so thats awesome.

So this time of christmas is really special for everyone but im very greatful for the opportunity i have to spend it on the mission normally at home i focus on snowboarding family and gifts. Welll there is not a bit of snow in fact it hits 100 degrees every day, my family is  5,840 miles away, and now i can focus on the best gift ever our savior jesus christ. Expressing how i feel about christ is very hard to put in words. the relationship ive gained with him is priceless and wouldnt give it up for anything. now on the mission during this time i can 100 percent focus on helping others which is really the true meaning of christmas i think that is the best way to find true joy during this time. everyone always says the season of giving and we try to find something here and something there we can do to help but i invite you all to truly lose yourself helping this season and you will have the best christmas ever. remember the gift we were given.

We hiked another mountain and that was sick haha up top there were a ton of clouds flying by us so that was sick but we got super wet from the clouds and it got a little cold but it was dank still

he lives 12/16/2019

It seems like a just barely was writing a weekly email like yesterday haha and here i am again.

So this week flew by honestly and i think it was because we were teaching so much and i didnt eat as much meat this week so maybe they have a connection.

But seriously the mission has helped realize how much i love teaching people. Every time im in a lesson teaching principles of the gospel it just gives me the biggest grin ever haha idk why my investigators always think im a weirdo but i love that feeling.

so we have this neighbor that lives behind our house(thats how neighbors work here there is always a house that it is behind) he is a super cool dude his name is miguel and is pretty good friends with us and now we have dinner with him like 4 nights a week he is a person that really hates religion but has a lot of different questions about religion and the other night we were talking a ton about adam and eva and many other topics but me and my comp were able to answer all his questions and then he said well if i were ever to enter into a church building fire would fall from heaven and burn everyone but if he were to join a church it would be ours. So haha i thought why not see if fire would fall this was saturday night so i said he well come to church with us tomorrow and see what happens. He was hesitant and said he said he had to stay up late playing league of legends and drinking teguila but we made a deal that he would only drink coke and only play one round of league. then he said only knock on my door once if i hear more in the morning im not going we said deal. So at 8:45 we were at the door now here in argentina all the doors are very flismy so a normal united states knock on the door with knuckles pretty much knocks the door down so i was used to just knocking lightly with one finger haha well lets say old habits never die i knocked once but as if it were a tree log haha. well miguel made it to church this sunday!!!!!!!!! haha so sick so hyped for him, i feel like he is my brother weve gotten so close.

This p day we played volley ball and that was sick, then we gave an hermana a blessing because she feels really scared about her new area and be comp mayor.

So we watched a bunch of videos this week from the church about jesus christ and christmas and how he live. Well everytime i saw the phrase he lives all i could think of was lion king when simba returns and they are singing a song and say he lives like 100 times kinda weird but it hyped me up thinking about christ and how he really does live and is close to coming.

the world is sufficiently wicked for the lord to come again he is just waiting for the saints to be prepared to recieve him

Whats up guys another good week out here in capilla del monte and its getting real hot now haha.

Weight update- in total im up 30 pounds since i left farmington so i guess you could say things are going good i just have 7 chins.

So this week was another week of travel we had to go into cordoba capital for the paperwork of my comp and those always make for long days sitting in a government building for like 5 hours waiting. but we always try and talk to people sitting with us and i met a women that had moved here from venezuela haha and she was so cool haha she had me laughing for a good hour talking with her and we talked about pretty much the whole gospel and then asked if the missionaries could pass by for her house so i gave her the number of missionaries in that area. Ah but i already love that mujer such a cool lady with the funniest accent.(side note in her country when there were a lot of gringo missionaries there all the natives called them the lindos haha which means the handsomes haha so sick little fun fact).

Then that day while we decided to go to this burger restaurant which does burgers pretty similar to the states and it was pretty good and on one of the walls there was this writing that said come on baby ligth my fire haha we all laughed at that for a good sec.

Asado count was lower this week, we only had 3 so a little bit healthier this week.

I got a package from my family and it was so dank got all the gummies that elder singley needs to function haha so loved that.

Thanksgiving 12/2/2019

alright so we start this week off with transfers that came......, And im staying woot wooot woot haha im so stoked our whole branch got together this saturday waiting for the call to see what happened and when they said i was staying we all started screaming and basically had a mosh pit in our little house chapel haha it was so hilarious, but yes im so happy to work here for one more change lets gooo six months in capilla del monte.

So thanksgiving this week and i just ate meat like the usual week haha this week i actually got sick of eating so much steak so i went on a pure fruits and veggies fast for two days and that helped me out a lot to eat meat again for lunch yesterday haha.

But im super greatful for all you. everyone of you has had an impact in me becoming who the lord needs thankyou for all the advice and help in difficult times im incredibly blessed with the best family of like 100 members in the world and friends who are basically my brothers and sisters love you all. I also am so greatful for this chance i have to be a representative of our lord and savior the chances i have to grow and become better on a daily basis are uncountable. Amo a cada uno de ustedes y mi salvador y padre celestial.

Work here is going good we are mayormente working with the same families(also i get complaints alot for putting spanish words in my emails im sorry i just forget the english words a lot and dont want to look it up so mayormente means the mayority of the time basically) They are progressing a lot and we are super excited ive never had the chance to see a whole family progress like this in the gospel it brings so much happiness to me and them.

ALright so thats all for this week and i am without fotos sorry i only have pics of the asados we had and i think you have all seen enough meat on the grill from my emails haha love you all have a great week

What what whats up So this week was pretty sweet.

This week flew by and i dont remember much but teaching is going super good right now we have a banda of investigators and sometimes we dont have time for them all so pros and cons.

Next i had interviews with the mission president and he talked with me about setting goals with god and following his path with my goals he said now is the time to practice that so when it comes to praying about a spouse i know what im doing hahaha.

Then came the week long celebration of my birthday which started on wednesday where we had lunch and dinner celebration with two different families of course asado. Then started with saturday for lunch we had an asado with some investigators and they bought me a cake and got my name perfect haha. Then saturday we had an asado with our landlord cause he is cool. Sunday afternoon i had an asado with a family from the branch and they took us to the side of a river to eat it. Then one of the girls from the branch made me a cheescake which i normally dont like but it was pretty good this time. Then sunday night we had an asado with just elderes and it was super good. Then we went to bed.

Then today we played soccer for p day and made american chocolate chip cookies so all in all a pretty dank week.
