AL AGUA POR FIN!!!!!!!!!! 9/30/2019

Hey everyone spring has officially hit argentina although the temperatures are the same as a blazing hot summer in utah. The bronzing process has begun haha.

So this week was super awesome close to one of the best in my mission. so first off at the beginning of the week we had a killer two days where we found like 10 new investigators that have a lot of potential.

Next this week we were pretty focused on hernan and preparing him for his baptism. thursday he had his interview and he passed with flying colors!!!!!!! we were so stoked zone leader said the hernan was the most ready person he has interviewed in his mission so we were super hyped.

We then got everything ready like his clothes, the place, and the meeting and talks. Then we decided instead of me baptising him it would be better if someone from the branch did it so then when i leave he still has that connection with someone in the ward we asked hernan if he was cool with it and he was all down.

So friday night came and i couldnt sleep one bit i was so nervous i tried listening to hymns to get me to sleep nothing worked, then when i finally got to sleep i had a horrible dream that hernan backed out of the baptism so i sent him a scripture in a text at like 4 in the morning haha. but the next morning all was good he was baptized at 1 then we had lunch with some members, empanadas the best. And sunday he was confirmed it was so cool to see this ward take him in like a brother. Super happy with him and im confident he will continue strengthening his testimony all his life.

Alright not too much else to update but yeah super cool week and im so gratefull the lord helped hernan get to this spot and he allowed me and my comp be a part of his journey getting to know this gospel. the lord is so amazing how he can work through us. love you guys and love my heavenly father and savior.

Weird Week 9/23/2019

Hey guys so this week was one of the stranger weeks in my mish but it was still pretty good.

So we started working with a different family of my comps that lives a little futher away and they are so awesome we already are super tight with them and have began to teach them and they said they want to come to church sunday woot woot!!!!!

other news i had asado here 4 times it was a ridiculous amount of meat honestly and i have gone up in weight by at least 5 pounds but it was so freaking goood.

Big story: so me and my comp were finishing up work saturday night walking home on the side of what is the argentine equilavent of a freeway but less busy and no guard rails. as we were walking in the dark we passed a family of 5 walking in the same direction as me and my comp kept walking we heard the heart wrenching sounds of squeaking breaks and then something hit a car and we heard a woman scream me and my comp looked at eachother and sprinted as fast as we could and i dont think ive ever run faster in my life. as we got to the family we found a little boy laying limp in the middle of the street next to a car with a dent in front. the family was histerical and we didnt really know what to do but my comp picked up the little sister age 4 and i slowly picked up the boy and brought him to the side of the road and put him in my lap and this point i was panicking a lot but i asked the mom if i could give him a blessing and she said yes. i was very scared to give a blessing to the little boy knowing that the family wanted me to save his life. so i gave him a blessing saying that the lord will watch over him in that moment and that if it was the lords will to take him back that the family could be strong during this hard moment. Afterwords the only think i could think to do was start cpr thanks to scouts i knew how but it was so scary honestly then finally the ambulance arrived and they continued cpr for 20 more minutes then rushed him to the hospital. me my comp the little sister and older brother age12 ran following the ambulance to the hospital. we got to the hospital and waiting for a couple hours trying to help comfort the family and then the doctors said that he had passed away. He was 5 years old. It was super hard for me to see the family break down after and hear the older brother scream i want to hug my brother one more time. I thought about my own family and how hard it would be to lose one of them. We were able to share a little bit about the plan god has for him and his family and that one day they will be together again. Then today was the funeral and we went to give support.
sorry for kinda a sad story but we are so lucky that god really has a plan for all of us and that the sting of death can be lifted through our savior jesus christ and his redeeming atonement.
love all you guys and i love this work with all my heart we are all here to help one another and be tools in gods hands to help other.

What a week 9/16/2019

hey guys hows everything going hope you all had an amazing week.

So im gonna start out with out investigator hernan i havnet said anything about hernan in my emails because it seems like everytime i talk about an investigator in my email they drop but pero bueno so hernan we have been working with him for a while now and the other day he called us asking if we could meet up and of course we said yes and that night in the church he told us that he has now had his two trials of faith one that god exists second that this church is true. i didnt really respond and then he said and now i want to be baptized!!!!! i almost started crying honestly i couldnt stop smiling and then he asked me to do the ordinance. and ive been on cloud nine since. this will be my first baptism after almost a year of trying as hard as i can to help someone recieve this gospel and ordinance. his baptismal date is for the 28th of september( his one condition for baptism was that we did it in the river)

We have also been working with my comps family and now his cousin has a baptismal date for the 5th of october. We have two more investigators a mom and her son and they also have a date for the 5th of october. im so excited for the work moving forward here in capilla im so grateful god is permiting his work to go foreward through me and my companion.

Our activities have continued and the attendence is growing every week. i love doing stuff with the branch here i feel like this is the branch i grew up in and have known these people for my whole life. i love capilla with all my heart and im trying to serve the people here with everything i can offer to them.

Other news our land lord has been having us redo a couple parts in our apartment like painting and stuff and then this past week we planted a palm tree haha now i study our back with my hammock, mate, and a palm tree its pretty dank.

Love you guys all the support in the world to you guys from argentina have a great week.

Transfers and 11 Months 9/9/2019

so we just finished my first transfer here in capilla and it was lovely as ever haha here they use the word lovely to discribe anything good. i also hit eleven months today but i will have a year left in like ten days cause my realease date is sep 22.
so super wack im almost half way.

as far as transfers go me and leon are staying the same here so it will be good and we will keep grinding a ful and do the best we can for capilla.

ok so we have a lot of youth in this area but none of the leaders organize activities so me and leon took it upon our selves to plan one every week. we wanted to play volleyball because both sexes can play and have fun. but there are no places to play sooo... we got crafty we went to an argentine version of home depot and looked for materials to make a net. we found some mesh type stuff that people here use for concrete houses, and then some chord used to make soccer goals and we made a net. turned out to be 400 pesos or like a couple dollars haha. and the activity was so dank we had about 40 youth there and it was so sick, and i love playing volleyball and im generally taller than the average argentine so i was spiking a ful haha. but it was super good for the branch and we look forward to do something everyweek coming up is capture the flag with colors university of utah vs byu hahaha and the flags are an american flag and an argentine flag its gonna be lit.

so the missionaries in the next area are teaching a major league basketball team and they ended up getting drafted and signed for the team to play p days hahah so they hooked me up with a jersey and their colors are the same as the u.s.a. so its pretty dank.

i had to give a talk this past sunday on how we can find our lives in this life and i studied a lot and found that we have to loose our life if we want to be happy. we like our brother jesus have to take our cross day by day we cant drop the cross or we will be even more unhappy taking our cross means humbiling our selves to the will of christ. the heavens are higher than the earth which means gods plan for our life is more important than our desires or fears. day by day we need to take our cross and give our life back to christ because he gave us his life. LOOSE YOURSELF IN THE GOSPEL.

alright haha sorry im losing my english a little haha lose yourself in the gospel and stay tight not loose

alright thats all for this week love you guys.
